The Phantom flies again!

Post by mcelrah »

Got off work early today, got home about 2:30. Changed into riding
gear and rode the Bimmer out to Ridgely. The beautiful spring day was
deteriorating to a gray one with a somewhat stronger east wind. Sunny
and Adam greeted me, mentioned Kinsley had been out, but said the day
wasn't that great. I flew for about a half hour, did some steep turns
and three take-offs and landings. I brought two more bottles of that
fancy MC-1 motorcycle racing oil, but didn't go for gas to mix. Saw
the nice clear plastic tubes Paul G. put on the carburetor and the new
fuel filter. How did you do that with a broken wrist? I have the
Safety at Sea seminar at the Naval Academy both days this weekend
(preparation for sailing to/from Bermuda in June) then I'm off to
Monterey for work (yeah, I know, tough duty but somebody's got to do
it). Staying for the following weekend to camp and surf kayak with
friends near Big Sur. It's probably illegal or immoral to have this
much fun... - Hugh
