Pulpit Flyin hospitality

Post by ABills »

To those pilots I officially met, and those that I did not but were open and friendly, thank you for a nice re-intro to the flying community.

As a PG, I spent the Saturday at Woodstock observing and chatting. Thanks, Bacil and Brian and others for discussing the local characteristics. Stunningly beautiful valley.

Sunday, made my way to Bill's Hill only to fine it ceded to a couple of AARP ARRL (older HAMs) tuning their gear on the launch. Watched weather for a while then drove to the Pulpit to meet and chat with some more folks.

Was able to launch in the late afternoon after Mathew skied out and took the last big thermal with him...scratched about briefly then headed to the LZ. Only clocked about 12 minutes, but for the first time in quite a while, just what I needed.

Great hospitality.
