Presidential and VP Recall Election

Post by Joe Schad »

How about getting a constitutional amendment for the citizens to be able to initiate a recall election for the president and or vice president?

Impeachment seems unattainable for Bush and Cheney. The Dems recognize the overwhelming skill of the Republicans to successfully assassinate the character of any and all who oppose their views. A grassroots level initiation of a recall election would give the American people the ability to cut through the political BS and remove people like Bush and Cheney. Now if only I knew how to successfully get a recall amendment passed.

As much as I'd like to see the dynamic duo go, I think allowing presidential recalls would be more trouble than it's worth. We would end up with semi-permanent recall campaigns from the opposition party.

with regard to dis administration and the sad state of our national affairs?
sorry, but i feel like one of those guys doing ads for viagra - having a hard time getting it up.
even with chemical and mechanical aides, my most fervid imaginings soon fizzle to a drizzle when the fantasy bubble pops, i realize that even my blow up doll is having a hard time with turgor and i wake to realize i've gone to all that trouble, time and expense only to realize, with full consciousness, that what was feeling pretty darn good for a while only ever amounted to me pissing in the wind! - and i've got to wait the full four hours before i can seek medical attention!
("sorry honey, this has never happened to me before")

Yes, it gets hard to keep going at ridding the country of the Bush crowd and the mess they have created. I am about at the depression point like finding out I have a malignant cancer with just under two years to go. May as well just ignore the mess and let my kids face the problems created by this horrible administration. It is apparent to me, with 30% of the people still believing Bush is a good president, that fixing anything is a lost cause. Remember we are still in a state of emergency declared after 9/11. Let the Decider Dictate.
