As luck would have it, I had today off also. Much better than yesterday. A bit weird tho. Nothing nada upwind of the field. You could drive all over the place upwind and listen to the sink alarm. Lots of good stuff a couple miles south. Plus the ever present line of cumis 5 - 8 miles east. Got to 5200 (not base but close). Danny, Dale and I.

Ridgley...

As Steve reports, it was pretty good downwind of the field. Off tow, sank down to 1000 AGL but found 60 ft/minute off the west end of the runway. It got nicely solid at 2000ft to 4K; it got pretty cold there despite the mid-90's on the ground. Bobbled around the town (Ridgley) getting low to warm up and then getting high just because. Maxed and bailed a couple of times at 4200 because I'm into comfort and it was cold up there. Landed after the shoulder started bothering me too much; forgot the vitamin A(dvil).

The Aerosports crew was playing with an eclectic "scooter" tow. The system is getting debugged and looks very promising. I'd pull behind it!
