ECC competitors, could you help me with this?

I'm writing an article about the recent ECCs for the USHGPA magazine. The pilots at the meet had a wide range of experience level, from literally world famous to 1st time ever XC pilots. I would be interested to hear how you viewed the meet from YOUR distinct perspective. What I would like to know is:
Your experience level (sky god, newbie, local hero).
Why did you come to the competition?
Did you have a good time? If so, why, specifically.
Did you learn anything? If so, what, specifically.
Will you come to this meet again?
What was your best moment or fondest memory of the competition?
