Great flying yesterday and congrats to all of the XCers. I was the last one to break down in the primary about 7:30 and I did not see anyone else in the air so I packed up a nice wind sock that the cows were munching on and took it with me. Hope to find it's owner. BTW, thanks for setting up the wind sock. It was switching 90 plus degrees on my landing approaches. Sometimes it is better not knowing what fun lies ahead. I also found a large black velcro glider tie in the breakdown area. Owner? Hope we get more days like this. Gary Smith 540-955-3956

I brought the windsock. It's been in my custody for a couple of years, since I too packed it up one day at Woodstock. It might actually belong to Batman. It might take DNA analysis to be sure...

I put it up in the morning by the feeding troughs. The cattle came up mooing, expecting me to feed them. As I walked away I felt bad for disappointing them.

Yes that snazzy pink/yellow windsock belongs to me. I figure someday now that I'm back to flying more regularly that I will land in the LZ with it and can take it home! I really thought yesterday was going to be a repeat of the last time I was at Woodstock and I didn't want to land in the LZ! I also thought that it was going to be blown out due to the strong gusts here in Alexandria. Suzie & I had tickets to the Nats game last night so I chose that avenue. Nice flight reports, wish I had been there to join you!
