Can you really blame the eagles for their reaction to something as ugly and hideous as a bag floating in the sky? :P

I've heard that those aussie 'Wedgies' have attacked HG too. I'll bet that from a Raptor's perspective, both forms of "bird-impersonation" are equally fraudulent.

I once was attacked and chased away by a Bald Eagle in southern Utah ... (Cedar City) in a hang glider. I guess I went a bit too close to the nest.

The flippin' bird was stayed right behind my keel and proceeded to swoop on my cocoon harness (i.e unprotected ass) with some gnarly-looking talons.

Later, folks on the ground said that I sounded sorta funny on the radio.

I was so concerned about avoiding those talons that I stuffed the bar and ended up pretty low over a sea of trees.

Fortunately, the eagle quit chasing me I eventually found enough lift to get to an LZ ... but the darn bird put an early end to my flight.
