It is refreshing, but not surprising, to hear a true liberal open up and honestly describe how he feels and perceives the USA in the world. Thanks for the remarkable, illustrative, and illuminating post. Your courage is admirable. :wink:

i'm waiting around at the airport for a flight to come in
and i had this flashback-like event happen.

this hahri-krishna (sp?) (you remember the guys? pastel robes? bald heads with a little pigtail-like thing on the backs of their heads? tamborines? - yeah! those guys.)
well i hadn't seen any of These guys around since forever !
you neither? i didn't think so.

so anyhow...
this harry-kirshner stops me,
and goes about trying to sell me some pamphlets and stuff.

don't ask me to explain how i knew, i just did.

Is anyone going to let Marco know that "theflyingdude" is NOT Hunter S. Thompson and that Mr. Thompson has been dead for nearly two years now? I don't think he's figured it out yet.

Ahhh.....so who is the mysterious "theflyingdude"?
Is it Hunter, or somebody else? Could it be Hunter posting from beyond the grave....from the unknown ether.....possibly from an "ether-net" connection? :lol:

Or, if it is someone else, why did they sign off with Hunter's name? Wouldn't that be poor form?

Regardless of his true identity, are none of our house liberals going to agree with or renounce the gist of theflyingdude's post?
