Dickey's Ridge Wednesday Dec 27

Post by Joe Schad »

It was Gary, Pete and me with helpers Scott and Holly. Great day at Dickey's. Even though I thought it would be strong and cross it turned out mellow (5-9Mph) at launch with nice straight in cycles. Pete went first and beamed up. I followed with a nice cycle to 800 over and Gary followed. Managed and hour twenty and twenty two hundred over in the valley.

Holly, Pete and Gary rescued a lamb that was not well on the hillside. Then we made it back to get the cars out before the park closed.

Great day on skyline drive.

It was great seeing Joe, Gary and Pete and being up in the mountains. I was particularly glad to study the Dickey's Ridge slot, watch everyone launch, then walk all over the LZ and watch everyone land (as well as meet the nice landowner).

I fully intend to get back in the air this (new) year, and back to the mountains. Yesterday just got me champing at the bit even more! :)
