CHGPA Christmas Party : Fri Dec 15

Post by markc »

Hey everyone! If you didn't make the October meeting, then
you might not know that Karen and Matthew have offered to
host the annual CHGPA Christmas Party at their home, on
Friday Dec 15th.

Directions are available in the Events Calendar:

http://www.chgpa.org/Events/events.html

Should be a great time, and a second chance to wish Brian
bon-voyage if you can't make his farewell party on Dec 2.

Cheers,

MarkC

party time

Thanks guys... I'm sure we'll all be on our best behavior. Sorry

Anyone know what the approximate start and end times of the Xmas party will be? Also, (other than beer) what are the best things to bring?

Matthew told me that the club is providing a supply of decent beer (maybe Yuengling), but contributions of microbrews, wine, truth serum, Purple Passion, shooters etc are always appreciated. There might also be a mass pizza order, so salads, dips with crudites, appetizers, desserts might be good things to bring. - Hugh

X-mas Party

Post by Matthew »

Info on directions and parking is here--

Party starts at 7:30pm. It's the usual pot luck affair. Please bringa dish and/or beverage to share. The club is fronting a case of beer, plus sodas and munchies. Bring your bathing suit. We have a hot tub on the back deck. It's also another going away party for Brian. As we have no X-mas tree, we thought it would be fun to decorate Brian instead. So bring an ornament or lights or tinsel and we'll decorate the old Van Hull.

Am I gonna get yelled at for taking christmas lights in the hot tub?

I'd recommend parking at the silver spring metro station (it's free after 7 pm) and going one stop to takoma park. I could make myself available to guide folks at a prearranged time. Meet early arrivals at 7:20 (it's about a 15 minute walk) and late arrivals at 8 pm at the metro station?
