I dunno, Gary; with the amount of alcohol flowing through your veins last night I think I could have taken you down easily enough.
I loved the imp with the cap, and then out comes this woman built like wagnerian opera singer with a voice like a mouse, until she pulls out the mouth harp and blew the top off the place. Simply wonderful.
McKee, you're next!

clarence turner is playing at bangkokblues on sat, nov. 25th
i've seen him at zoobar-open mike and not long ago he did a walk-on with a band at bangkok - he was all that And a bag of chips.
the following unsolicited testimonial (referring to the zoo bar) came from a harp player who I think can play with anyone:
"The highlight didn't come until the very last set.
Clarence Turner showed up. (Craig Gaylor showed up after a gig in Silver
Spring.) Craig brought his friend Sol, a guitarist.
Hugh Feely + Clarence Turner + Sol threw down a magical set.
One song , with Hugh on chromatic harp made the rest of us look like
chimpanzees with kazoos.
Clarence smoked , with Sol lighting matches - with excellent
rythym playing (by Hugh Feely) until Clarence gave him a solo-
then he caught fire, and scorched us all. "
if anyone is interested in doing another gaggle, let me know - i'll be there.

Oh, that's easy:deveil wrote: markc - dangerous- does anyone really ever know what he's thinking?
"When's my next fix? Did I say fix? Flight! Yeah, that's what I meant!"

PS: Only got to see part of the set that started around 11:00
or so, 'cause I was taking the metro. That 'Wagnerian' was
DAMN good. And I think Gary was in love! I'll definitely be back
there for more great music.
Re: smoke'm if you got 'm
let me take this opportunity to correct that grievous pronouncement.
clarence turner could have stopped the irish potato famine.
if you think you like blues.
if you appreciate musical virtuosity.
hell, if you like your church christmas pageant - and you pass up catching clarence 'bluesman' turner... ?
hey, that's on You.
you're the one who ultimately has to answer to saint peter.
