Monday. Pete and I flew. Beautiful day but the flying wasn't all that great -- too south. Three to 400 over and a massive 20 minutes or so. I went to the south overlook and sank out. I always sink out when I go to the south overlook. Why do I do that? Pete did better because he didn't go to the south overlook.

My wife and son came along. Concept was a picnic but I forgot about the Beatles. Not as many as the last time (didn't have to beat them off my wing this time) but enough to make sitting in the sun and eating tuna fish less than fun. GDDD gnats didn't help either. Also, Ruth tried to jump the creek in the LZ and didn't make it. Her shoes disappeared in the muck. So we invited ourselves over to Joe and Zelda's and drank their beer and wine and ate their food. Much better.
