No doubt you all have read that the USHGPA annual paragliding calendar is in jepardy (while paradoxidly the hang gliding calendar continues to thrive -- perhaps that's another difference between the two common but different animals). In thinking about responding to the plea to keep the calendar alive by purchasing one, I took account of the fact that over the past 25+ years of my working life I've always purchased calendars for the administrative assistants (aka secretaries) on my floor, taking into account my known or perceived understanding of their individual interests to pick the proper themes of said calendars. So this year I've decided to do something different -- I will share my own new found passion with them by giving each a USHGPA paragliding calendar -- I bought 10. I implore each of you to do the same -- perhaps we can keep the paragliding calendar alive for at least another year! I can't help but think that friends and relatives will be equally thrilled to receive a copy.
