Pulpit versus Daniel's tomorrow

Dare I say it? With WSW forecast for the middle of the day on saturday, the Pulpit could be a good choice, though Daniel's is a more sure bet. The blipmaps are not looking all that great at either site.

Daniel's has been consistently good during these warm mid-winter days. I think I'll give it a go.

Two things--

1. Launch code for Charlottesville shows due SW by 1:00pm

2. Bacil is going to Daniel's

if the pulpit forecast holds I may go there...not sure I'm up for the extra hassle of going to daniel's. But only if we have wire crew. Otherwise I'm southbound by 10 am.

I've changed his mind.? I'm going to the Pulpit tomorrow.? WSW 10 to 15 looks better than SSW at 6 to 8 at Daniels.

I hope the folks at Daniels and at Pulpit get some good airtime.

Tommorrow, I'm meeting with an airport owner to see if I can get permission to use his 2800' grass strip for scooter towing, then I catch a plane to Ft. Lauderdale. Weather permitting, I'll be aerotowing at Florida Ridge on Sunday.

Dickey Ridge was nice today. We had very light conditions ... less than 5mph at launch. I didn't stay up long, but I enjoyed the warm temps and beautiful skyline drive views. Tom did much better, staying well above the mountain for a long time.

My site guide says I have to be a CHVGA member to fly Daniel's.? Is that still true?? I've never been.

Would go for PG at Daniel's if there were a PG observer with the
