Passing of Harvey "June" Sanders, Jr.

I have just learned that, Harvey Sanders, Jr. -- Emma Jane's first husband and co-owner of High Rock LZ -- passed away on Friday afternoon. Mr. Sanders was affectionately known as June and it is my understanding that he had been incapacitated for a long time. I did not know June, maybe some of the more experienced pilots on this list will want to share their remembrances.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to June and Emma Jane?s daughter, Carolyn Sprecher, at the following address:

Randy Carbaugh called Allen Sparks on Friday with the news and Allen promptly notified Brian and me. I?ve been incommunicado for the last three days, so I apologize that it has taken me so long to get this information out to the list. I?ll discuss with the other board members an appropriate club response to June?s passing.

NOT Harry. This is someone I only saw once...I don't think he was at Emma Jane's very often at all.
