Daniels Sun08Jan ?

Post by markc »

Hmmmm..... Surface cast for Daniels tomorrow PM
is light, SSW @ <10 .

But the temps will be in the mid-40s.

And there's supposed to be at least some
sun, partly cloudy by 4pm.

And the forecast is an increasing one
(I'll say! 30kts out of the S by 7pm
at 3000' according to ADDS. Whoa!).

All this makes me wonder if there might be
a decent HG-able window tomorrow afternoon.
Anyone in a gambling mood?

The cast for Daniel's is now calling for calm becoming
south @ 5 . And (though I'm not sure I believe it),
completely decked over by 11:00 :

So I think I'm bailing...

Daniel's Today

Post by Flying Lobster »

Went back for a redux--and like trix are for kids--it was magically delicious!

I got lucky and had a wonderful thermalling flight as well as a short magic air one at the end of the day. Others had varying results, but most everyone had at least some extended airtime. Other parapentistas in addence included Fred, Juan, Stephan, Jim and Lazslo.

Randy Weber was the only brave hang gliding soul to venture out. I really got a huge kick out of his positive attitude--he was totally jazzed just to be out on a nice, warm sunny day--even if the winds were not gauranteed soarable. He still did a very credible job of extended his flights while battling down in the weeds.
