Tree Huggers Party

Post by Joe Schad »

Maybe we should have an annual Tree Huggers Party for all those folks who have had the opportunity to hug a tree on a Hang Glider launch. Some of us have done it more than once. A good cold weather activity I would say.

Joe

PS.

There is a hang glider picture on the front page of the Northern Virginia Daily newspaper here in Strasburg. The caption says the hang glider pilot soars along the Massanutten Mountain east of Woodstock recently. No article or name of the pilot. Pilot has red jacket/shirt on with yellow and black harness flying a topless glider. Anyone know who the pilot might be?

Does going in the trees on landing count? - Hugh

Now I'm wondering ... would the Tree Hugger party have a higher attendence than a hypothetical party for those who have successfully stayed out of the trees?

Any time in the trees seems an appropriate criteria for a tree hugger.

tree huggers party

Well, I think that whoever lands in the trees should give an initiation into the treehuggers club party, all tree huggers and the rescue party invited. And for those (lucky) years in which there are no new applicants, one of the existing members who had not given a party yet, gets to hold it.

Happy New Year! And may we get no new members in 2006
