Where can I view a list of groups I'm subscribed to? I go to subscriptions and all it said was 'ground based fun' was available. Shouldn't I have the option to subscribe and unsubscripe to ALL groups at will?

When you aren't subscribed to anything, I think
that the list displays only one of the available forums.
Look for a little button/down-arrow/etc and click
on it : that should display the entire set of forums
that can be subscribed to, as a 'drop-down' menu.
Select one, hit 'subscribe', and repeat as necessary.
