I would like to try the Pulpit.

I am a new H4 HG pilot from CA just moved to the area. This will be my first MD flight.

Who should I contact? I am coming from Damascus, MD.

I should be able to be there on Sunday too. For those who have tried reaching me (Sparky and someone else), I've been buried with work and trying to get the (much overdue) Skyline done! I could use some airtime though!

Scott

PS - Tomorrow morning I'm motorcycling to Frederick with a friend who will be taking his MVA riding test---yikes! That will be COLD! (I'm digging out all my hardcore Arctic gear...)

I see a James Groves on the USHGA list. Might that be you? If so,
I'd say you're OK to fly Pulpit until the upcoming CHGPA/MHGA
membership drive for 2006.

Looks like the turn to the West is a little iffier than
previous forecasts.... But the NWS hour-by-hour is
still saying W for Sunday afternoon, so I'm still thinking
positive!!! Mid-50's, and the holiday madness hasn't
yet started... So I'm still hoping for a Pulpit day!
Will be looking at things by 8:00 tomorrow, keep your
fingers crossed!!

Hmmm.... the hour-by-hour and NWS text forecast still
insist it will be west for the Pulpit. Eg:

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ifps/MapClick.p ... 6&Radius=0

But I'm having a tough time finding any evidence of that
direction anywhere. Can anyone find a reason for optimism?

I'm not going to be able to make it. My previous 2 days of flying have taken their toll. I'll be making amends

I think I'm going to bail on the Pulpit, unless we suddenly
hear from a bunch of pilots in a gamblin' mood...

(Ashley Groves is one; he's finally got all his gear from CA)

I'm out too---I've still got Skyline work to do, and I'd like to go for a motorcycle ride (I was gonna ride to the Pulpit and cheer people on, but might find another destination now!)
