Looks like a thin lenticular to the north of launch and in the video there are partial views of portions of lower level clouds. I can't determine their shape in the video but they look a bit ragged ... could these be rotor clouds forming underneath the lenticular? Were these ragged-looking clouds somewhat stationary?

Always educational to watch good strong launches and thank you for sharing the video!

Nelson would actively search for the wave lift and often find it near the north end of the Woodstock ridge. He'd push out into the valley from there. Back then most of us would deliberately avoid trying to find the wave for fear of getting hammered by its notorious rotor.

I stumbled into it once, well out in front of the Woodstock Launch. It took me almost all the way to Harrisonburg. Getting well above the tops of the cumulous clouds was quite an experience. It was the first and only time I did that. I never did hit the infamous rotor. Just lucky I guess.

Just watched Mark's launch and climb out. Cool looking glider and great video resolution. The lennies looked stinkin' high.
