ya know mark, this choosing and inserting smiley faces all over the place can be wearing. i mean you gotta see exactly what each one means, then try to figure if it's the appropriate one, then do you need to use two or maybe three in order to convey the right meaning? and what if you forget one? or what if you self edit and it changes an emphasis of something? and i heard somewhere that a guy over thirty shouldn't even be uSing smiley faces! gawwwd!

I have attached below a link to a site that my dad set up to share the pictures he took at the Pulpit on Saturday. You should be able to download the pictures directly from the site once you enlarge the specific picture, place your cursor over the picture, and select the download option when a new box appears. With that said, if anyone would like some specific pictures emailed, as I noticed that some picture quality is lost through the website, send me a pm with the number of the picture you would like and I will email them to you. Enjoy.

My first post ever! Following my first flights off a local mountain at this fly-in! I got more than I was hoping for with five flights. Even tho they were sled runs, it was the launching and landing experience I was looking for. And I now have an avatar here on this board from me flying that weekend, thanks to Greg's Dad. And I even have two videos of the flight thanks to Rich.
This was a momentous weekend for me and there are so many people I owe thanks to - but especially to my primary observer, Hugh, who encouraged me to come out this weekend and fly. John also observed a couple of my flights - thanks! Great guidance! Everyone was very friendly, very helpful. I look forward to flying with you all again!

Early Saturday morning we enjoyed views of fog-frosted valleys from the ridgetop. I've attached a few
photos in which I was having fun with the color-accent feature of my camera. Enjoy!

as i've 'advanced' from flying old man conditions to flying vicariously, and the method of relating a flight has advanced from "man, you shoulda bEEn there!" a month after the fact to a more casual but informative, "hey guys, here's a short clip i made ten minutes ago", i really enjoy when you guys post something.
my wife? probably not so much. she thought her days of listening to me go on and on (and on) about flying after every weekend were over some time ago.
wrOng!
i'm now able, once again, to push the limits of her 'dutifulness' by sticking the laptop under her nose while she's relaxing or otherwise being productive and exclaiming, "See!, this is what flying this site looks like!" " See!, this is what it looks like up tHis high!" "See!, this is how you can really crank and bank!" "See!...
"yEs dear, you sweet handsome manly man, i dO see, but it iS two o'clock in the morning and you're upsetting the dog."(well...maybe not her exAct words )
but it Is pretty cool how others can now have an appreciation of why it is that hg pilots find it easy to go On and On (and On and...)
