Thanks for the info from you and your brethren from up on high Danny. I saw the wave clouds on the drive up embedded in the overcast upwind of the Pulpit. Rotor from the wave explains the widespread chop I struggled to get away from. Bacil

I was favoring Woodstock all week and the biggest reason went to the Pulpit instead of Woodstock was because Bacil posted that pilots were going to be there. I would have liked to know that people were going to Woodstock.
On a side note I did fly 501 on Sunday and got an hour. It was a lot of work to stay up but a lot of fun.

On 2nd thought I just ran the Ayvri track at 1x speed and closely monitored the VSI on the Stats Panel during the climb up to the apex point of the altitude curve. I saw a max of +1323 ft/min lift and ~ 30 seconds later a max of -1204 ft/min sink. Ho Li Fuk :shock: . That was an uncomfortable ~ 30 seconds. That is extreme. Bacil
