Felix, Karen and I rushed to Early Mountain to get there at 5:55pm to beat the 6pm closing.

They close at 5 in the winter!

Then went to Thai Restaurant in Culpeper.

Great food!

It was a spectacular day specially compared to today!
Although the hang gliders did not stay on the air for a long time, the weather was fantastic. It was wonderful to be out. I could try my new wind socks, so my observer did not have to bug me about it :)
Seriously speaking, I would like to thank my hang gliders colleagues, Knut and Felix, for their help and Mat (my observer) and Karen for their valuable advice and assistance on the launch.
I am looking forward to flying again with these great group of people.

I uploaded the tail camera video of this flight to Youtube, thought I'd share. I like watching flights like this one and think of other possibilities, different choices.

Nice video. I think you are almost always better off turning right after launching at Daniel's. If in good lift, keep going right for a while. If lift is week, fly to the little bump on top of the ridge to the right and figure 8 between launch and that little bump to try to get up.
