I received my magazine today to see that Douglas Shelton of Alexandria VA. ( I'm guessing that's Cragin) has had 500 consecutive safe flights!
Conrats Cragin on your silver and gold safe pilot award!
Good magazine this month I thought!

That's fantastic, Cragin! (and good catch, Shawn). I appreciate Cragin's attitude regarding safety. He deserves the fame and glory the USHPA awards bestow.

Thanks, Shawn. Yep, that's me.
I was surprised to see your post, because, as of today, I have not received either the awards or this month's magazine. I was beginning to wonder if the paperwork got lost. Apparently not.
BTW, I believe we have quite a few local pilots who should qualify for the Safe Pilot Award. However, they have chosen not to keep their logs current or to submit the forms. I encourage all who meet the requirements to submit yourselves.
I like them because the Bronze (100 flights) is a nice lapel pin with a HG on it, giving me a chance to answer questions about flying. I'm hoping for two more lapel pins.
