As my gift to myself for my 40th birthday, I finally ordered my custom artwork U2 and expect it back in a couple of months prior to Spring flying. Hopefully this will give me a little confidence and a lot less weight to get me back into the mountains this year!
My Talon 150 is up for sale as well ... I'll put a note up in the other thread if anyone is looking for or knows someone whose looking for a good deal on a Topless!

Since I got the wife to buy off on purchasing it, I would be in a world of trouble if I didn't fly it!
THEREFORE, to make the wife happy, I will be flying it much more often. Hopefully we will get some weather to get it to a training hill so I'm ready for some mountain flying. I really miss the Pulpit & Woodstock!

You're gonna like that U2. I got a U2 145 in September and love it. Was flying a Stealth 2 and a Combat before. The U2 seems to have every bit of the performance of the Stealth 2 and is 17 lbs lighter. Lot's of pilots here in CO are giving up the topless gliders and getting U2s. You need something that launches and lands easy here, the LZ at the local site is at 8K ft.
Only problem I've had with it is that the tip wands got tight in the thimble and I had to sand them down a bit. MC

After flying the U2 this summer, I don't see an incredible advantage (at my level of flying) of my Talon versus the new U2. With the decline of flight hours over the past year, my Talon has been a lot to keep ahead of and with lack of proficiency, it has been a hinder to my mountain flying. Not to mention, its so much heavier than my other gliders. I really look forward to getting back to mountain flying and I should be able to be a bit more proficient with the U2.
