surprise going away party at Richard Hay's this saturday

Post by brianvh »

Remember the surprise going away party at Richard Hay's place this saturday night. Bring stuff, doors open at 6 pm. If you don't come, we can't be surprised that you're going away at the end of the night, or something like that...it's all very confusing to me so I just do what I'm told and post the messages.

To get to the place, take I-83 north from the Baltimore beltway. Get off on Shawan road going east. At York road, turn right, then at the second(?) light that says 'Ashland/papermill road' turn left. Stay on this for several miles, crossing a bridge and going past Phoenix road. Eventually there will be a gravel road on the left, with a hang glider set up. If you miss it you'll come to a shopping center: turn around and go back about a mile.

Here's more info from Richard about BVH's going away "Surprise" party on Dec. 2nd.

Don't forget that this weekend, Saturday December 2nd ( 6pm till.. ) is the
going away party for Brian Vant-Hull. Yeah..
he knows about it but what the heck, lets make sure we give him a good send off.
After all Brian....as MHGA Presidentl; USHGA Observer and all around good guy has been there for us so lets be there for him.
Oh yeah.....and Saturday also doubles as the MHGA Christmas party. Boo waa! ( is that Danny I hear? ).

* We'll have the basic good eats and drinks but BYOB or special dish would be greatly welcomed. Be creative.

** If anybody has any videos of Brian, or flying or whatever, try and bring them and we'll put it on the big screen.

If you're driving a long distance, you can grab available floor space at the
house to crash, camp in our field, sleep in the loft in the barn, or....a hotel
nearby.
There is a Hampton Inn right at the end of my street ( 4miles away ) and a Courtyard Marriott right in Hunt Valley minutes from Oregon
Ridge. We' aint yo mamma so...if you're staying at the house, just find a place and stake your claim. And you're on your own in the morning 'cause
I'm sleeping in. :P

Park wherever you can find a spot along the driveway or if the ground is dry, I'll have the upper pasture gate open for cars to park in there too ( first left as you come in the driveway ).

RSVP would be appreciated. Some of ya' already have ( thanks! ). See you Saturday. Spread the word to all.

RSVP to mshgflyer@hotmail.com or 410-527-0975.
