lets fold him up

Post by tomceunen »

Maybe I'm reading is wrong but if you fly AA with your hanglider checked in, the max size allowed is 115 inches.
Cheers ,lets fold him up

Hangliders One hanglider $80 70 lbs
115 inches - Acceptance conditional on aircraft size and load conditions
- If this item is in excess of the number of pieces allowed in the free baggage allowance, excess baggage charges apply in addition to the $80 special items fee.

3m

I guess I was wrong 115 inches is 3m so maybe that's enough
but all inches are dimensional inches (length + width + height)
so I still have doubts...
What are dimensional inches for normal packed hangliders?

115 inches = 9.58 feet
Subtract some for height + width
Doesn't leave much room for length.

A "normal packed" hang glider.... are you kidding?
17 feet + width + height
12 feet shortpacked

Even the superpack gliders (falcon3, target, discus, funfex) are around 7 feet.
