Pulpit

Post by Gene »

It was great to see everybody. Weather was nuts. Very nice fly-in, we had a good time at Bill's hill and good food to follow. Zach was really enjoying being the photographer, made him feel part of the group. He wore me out at the ball field but it was good to see him smile while batting. Thanks to all the people who put in the hard work.

You and I left early, and we haven't heard from anyone else yet. Does that mean we missed a booming Pulpit afternoon with many miles of OTB XC logged?

Hey, will you be posting the photos anywhere?

Pulpit 2006 Fly-In

Post by Matthew »

Well, the flying sucked but the party was great. Had a sled in the bag at Bill's on Saturday and a sled in the bag at Pulpit on Sunday. Big thanks to Linda and Daniel and everyone else who helped organize and run the Fly-In and the Party. There were sleds a plenty and several of us flew each day. And there were a few flying highlights--

New Hang 2, sort of, Kathy Coleman had her first mountain flight in the area with a sled at Bill's.

Brian VH did a cloud dive at Pulpit on Sunday.

Brian VH and David Bodner did a near simultaneous launch and a simultaneaous approach and landing at Bill's.

And seeing the valley totally filled in with fog from the Pulpit launch on Sunday morning was incredible. It was a giant white blanket that stretched out to the horizon with only bits of far mountains peaking through. It looked like the end of the world or another planet.

Cragin, I just downloaded Photobucket and Flock. Easy and free program to use. I just loaded all the pictures Zach had taken the two days.

Hope this works.

Zach, good job buddy! You could be our new club photographer!
Look out Ralph. There's a new sheriff in town.

Zach took some great shots. It was the next best thing to being there with y'all.
