Pulpit Work Party 2!!!!!!!

Post by Matthew »

Hey All,

We need to do another Pulpit Work party to clear up some brush below the new ramp and mow the set-up area. It should take less than a couple of hours if we can get about a 10-12 to show up and bring some power tools. Saturday is looking light West. So be there!!!! Let me know if you can make it.

The setup area has been mowed, we could do some cosmetic work on the side of the hill. No lawnmowers needed. But Bill's can use some weedwacking.

The brush below launch will take alot of work: If you plan on coming to the pulpit party, or ever flying the pulpit, you should come if you possibly can.
Don't leave this to others!

I'll be heading over to camp tonight, as is my wont. Probably won't make it until around 9:30-10.

Brian, I was wondering if any 2's flew the Pulpit over the weekend? I'm just getting back from Assatague island. I will be available to do work before the Fly-in. Get me a list going. I can go to Bill's hill and see what's what. Stop by the Pulpit after that. Looks like a Bill's hill day today E@7 .
Peace, Shawn.

hammer, nails...? any specific needs up there?

BTW - can anyone say whether the firewood needs are going to be met? although more is always good, 'don't want to haul the stuff up if there's not a specific need...

if we're going to be up there with chainsaws...does anyone know if there are restrictions on cutting/removing deadfall wood from public lands?

Gary, If you have any 16 penny nails bring em. About the deadwood a permit is required (big surprise) I don't think it costs much. I will be up there at the Pulpit messing around at 10.

I got to the pulpit at 10 and then Gary D. showed up as well. We weedwacked the whole hill, nailed some loose wood on the ramps and cleared more high brush down and to the left of the old ramp. Gary helped me with my chainsaw, but it needs a new bar . That guy has skills! (Thanks Gary)
Peace, Shawn.
