PG Nationals
Hi ,
The Paragliding Nationals are getting better every year. i was very surprise by the Place it's magnificent ( intimidating) but great you really have to test your skills as a pilot and as a competitor the decisions you make are very important and critical (sometimes). You really have to cross places(huge mountains)and there is no place to land and if you do land it will take 4,5 or more hours to get out of there after been in theAir.
We had 100 pilots flying together in tough conditions(some days) and there was no incident that saids a lot about how Paragliding it's getting better and Pilots are progressing. We had one day an F16 flying full throttle among us in the middle of a task we were all just waiting for something to happend after that but nothing happend ( who knows what was he doing there).
The thermals were strong up to 2,000 fpm (nice) but you get use to it and take advantage of that trying to go not to the top, but to the next lift you don't want to get low there but sometimes happens and you have to get ready(the lower you were the stonger the lift) for that huge surge going up all you do it's hang on until your ready to turn you have to convince your body that it's allrigth to turn your mind is going turn, turn but there is no answer once you start turning it gets better but still always strong and you have to think about the next lift......
Here are some tracks of the comp days.

Cheers
