Woodstock Sunday PM? likelier launching pad?

Post by John Anderson »

Does it look flyable to anyone? I was reading a W to maybe NW? I plan to be in the neighborhood, that is, on the Shenandoah in the AM. Is there a more likely place to fly in the PM?

Pulpit. When the forecast is less than 5, woodstock tends to be kinda dead. Pulpit tends to funnel things in so it will be blowing a few mph stronger at launch. The launch is more technical though. Do you prefer a nearly calm wind slope/slot launch or a blowing-in launch off a sloping pad with big wooden things on either side?

I'm out of my specialty area with PG, but when bored and surfing one responds to anything.
