Saturday Flying
Looks like a toss-up between Jack's and Fisher Road on saturday. I'll start asking the Hyner group what the upkeep situation at Jack's is....last time I passed by launch was looking a bit wooly.

...and sunday
Now there's also a good chance of High Rock or the Pulpit on Sunday. The forecast rain seems to be mainly to the north.
Charlie - if I go to Fisher's on saturday I won't be there until 3 pm due to morning activities. But on a south day most people go to Fisher's rather than Jack's, so you'll likely have some company.

PG Tips for Fisher
If it's a very thermic day, Fisher Road turns into a washing machine mid-day. I have found it to be our most turbulent site and have kissed the ground even after hang gliding flights. If it's just L&V without much thermal activity, there can still be a big sink monster on the way out to the LZ. So don't scratch below the ridge.
Also, if there's decent wind, avoid flying in the corner at the L between the two ridge segments (right of launch). It's a venturi and you can be pinned there in a PG. Fly about 3/4 the way toward the corner and then cut across diagonally to the main ridge.
If winds are very light, however, this corner may be the best place on the ridge to get up due to the venturi.
Fisher often goes magic at the end of the day even when it's been L&V all day long. Sometimes it happens 45 minutes before sunset. So if it is an L&V day, take a couple of sleds (and maybe catch a good thermal) and then come back up and wait.
If it's gusty at launch, don't fly your PG.

At Fishers now (12:45 - arrived at 11:00). Wind is straight in at 10-12. Walked LZ. Met owner(building new house). He noted concern for his liability but was aware of our waivers. After short conversation he said OK to land on his property. Never flown here and am by myself - at least one to many variables so won't fly unless someone else comes. Must depart by 2:00 to make wedding tonight. Enjoying the view, I am!
