Forum suspension

Post by breezyk1d »

Didn't realize it was a selectively punitive forum...Do you suspend
non-CHGPA members from reading or posting to the forum when they are
late to pay the dues they don't pay anyway? Sounds like it is better to
not belong to CHGPA at this rate.

I seem to have forgotten to write my membership check to the club. A
simple emailed reminder would have been sufficient. I find it highly
offensive that the club would choose to suspend forum access to a
contributing, active, participating dues paying member because they are
late in their payment, when non-members would have to write something
offensive before being suspended, since they don't contribute to the
club coffers necessarily.

You think your club dues are at the top of my list of whom to pay this
month, and that you come before car insurance, and children's medical
bills, $600.00 heating bills, and credit card debt of $9,000?

I find I have a conflict on March 25 & 26 and won't be available to
staff the booth at the Air and Space museum. -Linda

We have been suspended, too. Though I did send my check in months ago. I have not even been able to get onto the forum to understand what happened. Is this what is going on?

I'm out too if I try to check via the Web.? I gotta believe it's a mistake of some sort.? Maybe CHGPA didn't pay its hosting fee on time.

Mark Cavanaugh reports that the CHGPA website is down. Sounds like
our hosting service has fouled something up. He's working with them
to get us back up. Thanks, Mark.

One of the many tasks that Mark does for the club?is working with the CHGPA website.? With the site being down for only a few hours, we have all figured out how much we rely on it and on Mark's efforts.? Thanks for handling this Mark.

There were power outages here in Maryland after the heavy (wet)
snowfall. That might account for the problem? - Hugh

MOO-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah! Gambled away your dues money AND suspended you
for non-payment! My diabolical plan to sow hate and discontent among
the CHGPA cohorts has succeeded beyond my wildest dreams! - Lex Luthor

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Lex. My humble apologies. But I am comforted to know
that the administration of the Club isn't so boneheaded as to adopt that
approach to dues collection.

1) ya' can't have gambled it away because I haven't PAID it yet
(0bviously the guilt is weighing heavily on me....)
2) the only boneheaded one around here is me.
3) I need airtime...

i guess i can have me and mine take off our orange fluorescent vests now !

Oh--now I get it--you all thought you were suspended by Mark from the forum because of late paying dues? Hah hah--what a good one! After all Mark has done you all deserve to get spanked by him!

Looked like a DSN connect and/or user authentication problem from the error code.
