Smithsonian Kite Festival

Post by Matthew »

Hi Folks,

Springs is almost here! And that means two things: great flying and GETTING THE WORD OUT ABOUT GREAT FLYING! We need volunteers to help run a table at the Smithsonian Kite Festival on Saturday April 2nd.

See-- http://www.kitefestival.org

This is an excellent opportunity for new pilots to show their devotion to the sport and the club by helping out. We need at least one person to bring a glider and at least 6 people to take shifts manning the table from 9:00am to 4:00pm. But the more the merrier. Please contact me if you can help out... otherwise I may be contacting you.

Email me directly at adventuretales@hotmail.com

PS It is a lot of fun, expecially the kite fighting and aerobatic shows. And don't forget the Cherry Blossoms.

I believe I still have Joe Gregor's photo montage.
Does someone else have a table? We used mine last year, but it was way
too heavy to carry.
