I arrived at the flight park about 8am, took a tandem check ride, then flew a rented Falcon2 195 for the rest of the day. The tandem was in one of the under&over harnesses. It was really weird flying from the top in the raspy air.
Initially, winds were pretty strong, with a horizontal shear at about 1700'. It was good practice. By mid-day the winds backed off and the air became more convective. I flew 5 times, but never encounted much more than mild lift and zero sink.
It would have been nice to core strong lift, but I'll take what I can get. I'm pleased to be a bit more current in AT. And hope toget some more at Quest in a few weeks. I sure enjoyed hanging out in 80 degree temps, and flying in a t-shirt in January.
I'd post some photos, but my camera batteries were dead

Fun is over for a few days ... I've got to get serious and get ready for a certification exam on Friday.
