???? A gamble, but I'm willing to take it.

At the moment, conditions for the Pulpit seem pretty
encouraging!
W@10-15 for McC, according to the NWS text 'cast.
W@10 at 2:00pm according to the NWS hourly weather chart.
W@15-20kts at 3000 according to ADDS.
If conditions tomorrow look even close to any of this,
then I'm Pulpit bound!

Ahh! Wishful thinking. Good luck with that.

Just so you have a correct head-count for wire crew, Matthew has
agreed to observe me in a PG at Daniel's. Have a good flight! - Hugh

I see all kinds of great W forecasts, but I'm not sure
I believe them. UCAR's surface obs map shows SW
and S everywhere.
The High to our south *has* been headed further south
over the past 6 hours, but I don't see any hints of a
wrap-around that would give us some W up here.
So I'm not very encouraged about the Pulpit : anyone
see something different?
I *may* head to Daniels, if I'm really bored
A 5-10 'cast often translates to sled for hangies down
there.

I think I'm going south. Hope I won't be the only HG down there.

Pulpit 1/28
Brian,
???? That was the main reason I went to the Pulpit, the fact that plenty of isobars were lining up west/WNW to east/ESE from PA to New England on Saturday.? That information was available Friday afternoon from the Weather Channel website.? Once I saw that the choice was easy, helped out by years of observation of similar forecasts and the actual results.
