1) Outstanding XC Flight, Paul Tjaden - from Highland Aerosports, flew 82.4 miles, landing 14.5 miles south of the Virginia line.
2) Vic Powell Distinguished Service, Allen Sparks - for his diligent work on the High Rock 30th Anniversary celebration and his dedication as a hang gliding and paragliding observer and instructor.
3) Safe Pilot, David Bodner - for his focus on safety and conservative judgment.
4) Most Improved Pilot, Dan Tomlinson - for his outstanding 2005 XC results and commitment to safe flight by improving his launching skills.
5) Air Hog: Co-award winners for 2005 are Paul and Lauren Tjaden.

I have to say, the funniest part of the meeting was when, amongst much acclamation and applause, Linda was presented the tree-squatter award... and Olivia shrieked - "Mom, what did you DO?!"
