HG Promotions - We Need Volunteeers - Saturday, March 25

At the CHGPA Meeting Wednesday, Daniel announced two upcoming major events for the club to make a showing of HG/PG to the general public:

Annual Kite Festival on the Mall, Smithsonian

Women in Aviation day at the National Air & Space Museum, Dulles

At the meeting, Daniel thought that these events were on consecutive days in March.
OOPS. - They both aoccur on Saturday, March 25.

We need volunteers for both.
Four of us already committed to the Air & Space day, but we could use a few more, especially from among the FiFis (2 of the 4 are FiFis)

Kite Festival especially needs attention, because Brian Vant-Hull and I are the two non-FiFis planned for the Udvar-Hazy Center at Dulles, and the two of us historically have spent all day at the Kite Festival.

Women in Aviation Day is indoors. Kite Festivla is outdoors. If Kite day is weatthered out and shifts to Sunday, March 26, we will probably come down. However, We have to plan on not being available.

I'm not sure who Daniel has corralled to honcho the Kitte Festival Day. In the meantime, please consider spending some time that weekend at one or the other of these events. I can attest that the Kite Festival is a lot of fun. The new event at Dulles looks like good, too.
