The weather here in Florida may be considerably better than what the DC area has been getting but it was still bad enough to completely destroy our attempt to hold our comp this weekend. Low clouds, rain and drizzle kept us grounded all weekend.
Special thanks to our friends from the Mid-Atlantic, Marc Fink, John Dullahan and John Simon who traveled so far to try to compete and help us out and who returned to Washington with nothing to show for there trouble but a few damaged liver cells. Even greater thanks to Kevin Carter who handled the computer issues and had volunteered to take care of the scoring had we had any flights to score.
Lauren and I are going to try to re-schedule for the Presidents Day weekend in February and will schedule for more days next time so we have a better chance of having flyable days. Hope to see some of you then.

Now that I'm back home and have stopped my drink beer non-stop for a week diet (and the FLA cops are no longer following me around) I can say 1) I had a great time anyway; and 2) delayed effect hangovers hurt even more.
Hopefully in another day or two I'll be able to remember what happened.

Great Googly-moo!
Florida Comp
Karen might be able to come down in Feb for the Tjaden-comp if we can rent or borrow gliders. And I can guarantee we will score zero points.

Thanks! If Karen can make it I think we MIGHT be able to scrounge up a glider VERY similar to what she flies. Course it won't have those purple colors.....
