Paraglider Paratech P26 for Sale

Post by Marcel Dettling »

I'm selling my Paratech P26 M.

It is certified for an all up hook-in weight from 80-105kg, covering a pilot weight range from around 60-85kgs (130-190lbs).

It's a DHV 1, very stable and confidence inspiring, extremly resistant against collapses. It shows very benign reactions in all manoeuvers. It's launch behavior is absolutely flawless. It's the perfect wing for beginners and pilots who don't bag hundreds of airtime hours per year.

I'm the first owner, it's maiden flight was in September 2004. It's thus only 14 months old. Plus, it is the actual DHV 1 model from Paratech which is still sold, see their webpage http://www.paratech.ch for further information. I have put around 150 flights on it (depending on how I count toplandings and relaunches), and around 80 hours of airtime.

The wing is in very good shape and condition. No rips or tears, no incidents, no contact with either water, trees or sand. To be honest, I wouldn't say it's like new, but in very good condition.

The reason why I'm selling the wing is that I want to step up. I have flown a lot in the past year, I have collected a fair share of experience in demanding conditions and I have flown more demanding wings also. I want to compete and fly serious XC next year. Only a hotter (but also much more twitchy) wing offers the glide performance and transition speed that I'm after. For thermalling and soaring at local sites, the P26 is perfectly fine.

Price is 1299$.

The wing is only available until December 16th, 2005, until I'm traveling to Switzerland for the Christmas break. If it has not sold until then, I will take it back to Switzerland and trade it in. The price I'm selling it for is exactly the trade-in value that was quoted by my Swiss dealer. I'm thus not willing to lower the price. The wing is located in Baltimore, I'm happy to show it to you.

That's me, flying the P26 at Stanwell Park, Australia

Just a quick reminder. The wing is still available, but only until next Friday.

Of course, it flies like a comp wing, has the safety of a beginners glider and I reduce the price to 1298.95$ :) :D

Frankly, I'm a bit sad to give it away. We spent many joyful hours together in the sky and it was always a very reliable partner. I would love to sell it to someone I know, but I guess the poor wing will find it's new owner somewhere out there in the world and we'll never see each other again.

Cheers,

Marcel
