Anybody thinking of flying this weekend? Saturday? Or do I wait until spring now?

Any Flying?

Some hearty souls fly all winter, hike up the back side of Woodstock when the road is closed because of snow, chip the ice off of the launches at High Rock and Pulpit - plus it's really a relatively mild winter here with some days in the 50s - January 1 2005 it got to 60 degrees. That said, I'm in Florida for a week of flying and won't be back in time to fly this weekend. I think you'll find enough flying partners... - Hugh

I'm planning to fly Saturday. Looks like Pulpit. Looks cold.

Have a class to teach; probably heading to the 'Burg if I think I can
negotiate the corn stubble with my more experienced guys. Debating that
though...but if I do, I'll bring the straps in case you swing by.

I'll be there by about 3:30pm (after my orientation meeting at White Tail).

I hope it hasn't switched SW by then.

I will try to be up there in the morning around 10. See what's happening on the ridge, and take it from there......

Sparky:
Are you exploring using White Tail as a launch site? That would be pretty awsome for PGers if they would let us use the lift during the off season!

I am going to an employee orientation meeting. I want to learn to be a good Ski Host, and I want to ski this season :)

Looks like a more trustworthy pulpit day sunday, though may not be soarable. Thinking about it.

Maybe the forecast has changed, but last I heard, the weather Sunday is supposed to stink! (Rain, ice pellets, snow, etc.)

Add me to the early bird wait-and-see list!

Looks like the west is now predicted to last
until mid/late afternoon... The ADDS 3k
forecast doesn't look ridiculously strong...

Guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.
I'll be looking at things by 8:00.

That's just what makes it fun. If you're gonna be cold, may as well go for the gusto. Unfortunately, the chance of freezing rain is only 30% after 10 am, and forecast to be partly cloudy by 4 pm....clear by 7. May not be enough storm to make it fun.
