We arrived (those two with a permit) and the wind was weak. But some little thermals came through at launch. It was very cold so we were extra dressed. Launch although was pretty nice with the sun and no cold breeze.
I launched in weak conditions and hit a strong core just in front of take-off. Oeps +1700feet up in a nice strong thermal. We hopped all around for +2h and landed around 4PM. At 5PM the hunters come and that section of the park is closed. My buddy lost almost his fingers so he's going to buy some good gloves soon.
We thermalled with a bold eagle and landed near deer. A nice day!
