Hi Wesley;
Hope you are doing well. I understand that frequent applications of turkey and gravy and mashed potatoes assist greatly in the healing process! Hope there is plenty coming your way for the T-day. Best, Linda

Today's X-rays show that the screws are holding and the bone pieces
connected to the elbow and shoulder are still in position and the third
(non-fixated) bone piece is in good enough position for the gap to
eventually fill in, but we can't yet see calcium growth. I haven't yet
experienced much improvement in hand mobility, but I was told from the
beginning that it'll take some time for the radial nerve to come back
on-line. I'll begin PT next week. Long-term still looks good, but it's going
to take a while. Thanks for asking. Blue skies.

The first few minutes after my injury I had no feeling in my arm or hand. It was pretty scary but then the feeling started to come back to my arm and that wasn't so great either (hurt like hell).
?
Hope all is well soon.

Wesley, dont get discouraged, I had? my second spine fusion in?march and this time it has taken me six months to begin fusing.? I also have titanium plates and screws to hold my spine in place while it continues to fuse. I went through physical therapy for 8 wks three times a week and I was in so much pain in between therapy days that I was eating vicoden like skittles. I am saying this to say that before long I noticed that I no longer needed pain pills throughout the day only to sleep at?night. So Hang in there things will get better even if it doesnt feel like it.? Of course my injury was not hang gliding related I got my misery from 10 years of dedicated Nurse Aid Work in a nursing Home. which I Regret and yet I dont. I do remember all those folks I cared for so it was worth it.?
