Yes, it's very beautiful! But beware: the conditions in the Dolomites (i.e. in the region around Col Rodella which is on the pic) are so strong and bumpy that you can only fly there in autumn. A close friend of mine was there at the beginning of October 2004 and found the strongest thermal he ever flew in: 12.5m/s (2500fpm) on a 10 second averager. Crazy stuff!
