I will be around Wed and would not mind a Woodstock run. Gotta find out if
Heather needs the truck... we have only one set of wheels for a while. I'll
start working that problem and keep my fingers crossed on good weather and
good Heather.

I'm thinking of a WS day tomorrow too, if the 'cast stays
strong, and if there will be some sun out there. Will be
looking at things pretty early Wed AM.

What better way to top off a day of flying than to come to a club meeting where you can gloat?

Good luck flying. See you Wednesday night!

Just go back from a one-day, out-and-back business trip. Not sure I
feel up to going to the office tomorrow. Am I feverish? Must I take
the mountain cure?

Dave's got... THE FEVER!

Tom and Mark have... THE FEVER!!

No, not a fever for more cowbell... A get-me-high-at-Woodstock fever!!!

But don't worry Daniel, we'll be at the meeting tomorrow night.
It's in Harrisonburg this month, right?

It's possible the road up could be closed---the Post had some photos of Skyline Drive from yesterday, and they didn't just get a dusting---there was actually several inches of snow on the ground!

The casts and maps are definitely on the strong side today...

Just talked with Tom McG, and we're both thinking of waiting
until 10:30 or 11:00 to make the call.

I'm leaning more towards giving it a try. After all, it's Fall,
it's a Woodstock day, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Toms Brook Transportation department maintains the road. They said it is open today. 540-436-3712.

I would have to leave Woodstock by 2:00 to get home in time for evening Halloween parade with kids and friends. Not sure I can make it at this point :( -Linda

Tom has decided to bail. And I'm afraid Pete and I have talked
ourselves out of flying too...

Updated surface forecast is NW 15-20 until midnight. The
clouds are zooming by. The ADDS 3k forecast is NW 20-30
through 8:00pm. It just doesn't seem like a good day to
gamble a day's vacation time.

If there was just a hint of lighter winds by early evening
I'd probably take the gamble. But I don't see that anywhere, grrr!

On the bright side, looks like Thursday and Friday will both
be NW days!

Well, I already gambled it wouldn't happen today, so just got back from a 20-mile bike ride. Woohoo! My gamble paid off for once! :)

Road was open. I was there from noon till 1:30. Up until about 1 it was straight in 10/15 gusting to 20. After 1 it started to amp up, and started raining.I hung out on launch for a while and watched the streamers.
