Where will folks be flying on Sunday, Oct 23rd?

Post by Danny Brotto »

A bit breezy at Wallaby last week and it's been a while... any thoughts on flying tomorrow?

Synopsis...
Breezy (blown out?) but good direction @ Pulpit.
TFR up at HR till 5PM... decent (windy?) after that.
(Too) West(?) but decent velocity @ Woodstock.
Smithburg status?
Or just go fly the sailplane?

[quote="Danny Brotto"]any thoughts on flying tomorrow?

Lots. Mostly along the lines of wanting to!

I'd pick Pulpit right now: forecast has diminished from yesterday and direction is straight-in for our joint club-owned, tripple-launch nirvana. Blip map looks sweet everywhere. I'm curious to see if the wet ground shuts things down (I haven't been watching Dr. Jack's for long enough to learn these things). Decreasing pattern has me thinking we should be able to get off at some point (not a repeat of last Saturday). Will check in tomorrow by 9:00. Hope to see lots of folks out again. Gather yee rosebuds before they freeze and fall off.

Daniel,
???? It will be strong at the Pulpit tomorrow.? I'd love to go there, but you need full wire crew.? Woodstock works in a west.? It won't be outrageous at Woodstock tomorrow like it was last weekend there.? I'm leaning towards Woodstock.

Smithsburg, still closed as of 10/21/05 (darnit)

I'm planning to decide between WS and Pulpit in the a.m. Probably WS.

I'm in. Pulpit or Woodstock, according to the lemming principle.
How come we don't exercise the waiver at High Rock anymore? I
thought all it took was a phone call to the Secret Service Operations
Center a day prior. - Hugh
