Fisher Saturday

Post by Matthew »

Looks way too light and a bit too South for Jack's on Saturday. South 5-10 becoming SE 5-10. Altoona meteogram only shows a max wind velocity of 6mph at 2:00pm. We're heading up to Fisher Road. So will the usual Fisher crowd be joining us-- Carlos, Joe Brauch, Steve K., the Pittsburgh Boyz?????

Maybe Steve can finesse us a key to the cable on the road to the LZ???

Sun all day-- it should glass off. Fly to Ritchie's Knob!!!!!

ETA-- 1:30pm.

Matthew
PS Should be a great day for paragliders!!!

I have my Red Dress Run this weekend (Fri/Sat) so depending on how recovered I am, I might be up for flying on Sunday. Not up for flying Fishers, but if wind directions swings towards Bills or Jacks, I'll see what I can do.

I've got committments in the afternoon, but might be able to make a run for Fisher road for a Saturday evening flight. I probably couldn't arrive before 5pm.

Too light for Jacks?? Huh?? If the forecast is S to SE 5 to 10 MPH, the best place to go is Jacks since it is much steeper than the Fisher Road ridge.? But I guess Fisher is a lot more paraglider friendly than Jacks.? And it should glass off nicely tomorrow PM.? I'll be there.
