Here are the agenda details for Wednesday’s meeting (zoom details below):

1. Site Insurance.

We currently have a total of 18 sites and 40+ flying “locations” that we maintain in the USHPA RRG database:
- 8 Open Flying Sites (BH, DR, DM, PP, WS, HB, HR, EG)
- 1 Excluded Flying Site (RR)
- 4 Closed Flying Sites (Fishers, Flattop, Millers Head, Spruce Knob)
- 4 Open Training Hills (Taylor, Smithsburg, Long Hill, Kirschners)
- 1 Closed Training Hill (Oregon Ridge)

We are in the process of renewing our insurance at these sites, which has to be wrapped up by mid-February. The summary is pasted below.

The RRG insurance premiums for our site coverage are increasing in 2023, so we need to review which sites should remain open and insured and what to charge in annual dues going forward. Historically, our club has operated a bit in the black which allows us to save for major, occasional infrastructure spends. Absent changes, we’ll probably be in the red this year based on the increased premiums (increased ~180%). Karl will walk us through the budget and recommended options to make adjustments.

2. Board Officers.

Our by-laws require election of the 5 officers that constitute your board.

At the meeting, we’ll vote on the nominees for the slate going forward:
President: Richard Gillespie
Vice President and Secretary: Ricky Fitzpatrick
Treasurer: Karl Shackman
Member at Large: John Middleton
Flight Director: Tom Ceunen

We’ll take any discussion and additional nominations and then vote on the nominated officers.
