Practice day at Taylor, Sun Sept 18?

Post by markc »

Thing don't seem very promising at our mountain sites this weekend, so I'm considering a practice day at Taylor on Sunday. Current surface 'cast is SSW@6-7 : Anyone else interested?

Come on, it'll do ya good! :)

Have fun if you go. I'm waiting for the training hills closer to me to reopen.

Forecast has improved as of Sat night, solid SW. I'll probably go, barring major traffic snarls on 95. Hoping for somewhat early, 10:30 or so.

Checked Daniel's, looks too light for HG.

Happy to share flights on my Falcon, sure beats lugging out the big wings!

Knew there was a risk of this.... Taylor's isn't flyable at the moment, the grass on the hill is too tall. Hay bales at the bottom as well, but scattered enough that landing would probably be ok-ish. Just have to pick a direction for final and stick with it, regardless of the wind.

PG might be doable, if it's possible to keep the wing from getting too snaggled in the grass when building a wall.
