This is a flight at Raven Haven which has not been flown for over 10 years.
I got to Raven Haven before 9:00 AM and started working on the ramp. Aron showed up around 10:00 AM and we continued to work on it. He found an old carpet up by the parking lot and we used it to cover up the rocks on the ramp. By 12:00 we had it in good enough shape to be able to use it. So I ate lunch and then we went and talked to the land owner and he said we could use the field to land in. After that we dropped off my truck and went back to launch. I set up my glider and waited for the gusts to calm down a bit. I launched around 3:00 and went straight out the slot without dipping down much at all. Once I had good speed I let the glider go to trim and I went up about a 100'. I stayed up for a little over an hour, flew up the ridge to the right for around 5 miles. I topped out at 3490'. When I went out to land I started with 1100' over launch and was at 750' over launch by the time I got to the edge of the landing field. Aron decided not to fly.
